In this window you will find information on the country of trade between Albania and Turkey, the requirements that the Albanian products should meet to be exported to Turkey and the requirements that must be met by products produced in Turkey to be imported into Albania.

Albania has a Free Trade Agreement with Turkey, signed in 2006, which entered into force in May 2008. Through this Agreement, the two countries have the opportunity to increase trade exchanges between them.

Turkey is an important partner of Albania in international trade. For 2016 trade exchanges with CEFTA countries represent 5.9% of the volume of international trade, especially in terms of imports; Imports from Turkey represent 7.9% of imports. Meanwhile, exports to Turkey are modest and represent only 1.2% of total exports. The most exported products are: minerals and metals, aromatic and medical plants, and facon products.

Interested exporters can benefit from the Free Trade Agreement between Albania and Turkey, which gives them the possibility to export a number of Albanian products to the regional market without customs duty or tariff quota (refer to 'Trade Agreement').

Exports of albanian industrial products are liberalized. Meanwhile, for agricultural products, the parties have mutually agreed to each other the preferential tariff and the tariff quota.
