The first meeting of the National Trade Facilitation Committee meeting took place on July 1, 2016.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Economy, Milva Ekonomi. Participants in the meeting were representatives of each ministry (deputy minister or director) and business communities. The Business Communities (BC) were represented by three business associations, respectively the American Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana and the Customs Agents Association. During the first meeting three main issues were raised, respectively the Trade Facilitation Committee Constitution, the adoption of the Regulation and discussion of the initial ideas of the work plan for the Committee.
